Imaginary Friends?

post205pic1_edited-1When our oldest son was a little boy, he’d often sit at this little desk and color. One day I noticed he had squeezed himself into the far corner and I asked him why he was sitting that way. He replied, “To make room for my friend.

“Oh. Who is your friend?”

“Roundcank.”

Feeling Confusion

Our culture is caught up in a heated debate about bathrooms and gender identity. It appears that the gender one is born with is not necessarily the gender one must identify with. Therefore, some suggest that anyone should be allowed to use any bathroom, dressing room, or locker room that is marked with the gender with which one identifies, even if it is not their birth gender.

If someone identifies with a gender other than the one born with, does that person’s feelings  continue here

Removing Rocks

God’s Word is the jackhammer that is at work on the bedrock of my inner being. It has a point, and it is sharp, but it is the steady application of God’s Word that breaks away the boulders of sin, bad habits, attitudes and deeply held errors of my soul. God knows just where to place the tool, and the exact pressure to use to break the rocks of sin that have settled in my life

A View From the Top

When we are swept up in the moment, living only for today, or to get through today, we often grow weary and lose heart. We end up feeling defeated even before the battle begins. The drudgery of today becomes more than we want to endure. However, every moment is transformed into something special and supernatural when we view it from above.
