Cal was very content here. His tummy was full, his diaper was fresh, his swaddle was tight, and his Yaya was cuddling him. It doesn’t take much to make a newborn content.

It’s 2 a.m. and the sweet voice of our toddler calls out in the darkness, “I wanna dink!” I roll over and hope that he’s not as thirsty as he thinks he is and that he will fall back to sleep. It’s quiet… maybe… nope.
“I wanna dink!”

Brian just marked his one-year anniversary of walking away from the corporate world. Amazingly, it is also the one-year anniversary of living with me day in and day out. Suffice it to say this has been a year of discovery.
Of all the people who know me well, Brian knows me best. However, if he’d written a book about me a year ago, he’d be writing the “Revised Edition” by now, Chapter One would be, “Moving In: Are You Kidding Me?”
This is our eleventh home as husband and wife. However, this may be the first move that we’ve accomplished together from start to finish. I’ve heard multiple times over the past few months, “When did you get like this?”

My mom is a serious gardener. She always has a beautiful garden, but when she downsized a few years ago she lost her garden space. To remedy that, my sibs and I — well, ok, the guys — built garden boxes for her.
Now, she is out there gardening every single day; and look at the results…
