Home Inspections!

In preparation to move, we put our house on the market, someone liked it, and we’ve gone under contract. The next step is the home inspection.

We are ready. We disclosed everything we’re aware of. We set out a pot of fresh coffee, bottled water on ice, a plate of chocolate chip cookies and a note welcoming the inspector, the buyers and their realtor.

Come In! Make Yourself at Home!

My daughters-in-law are amazing hostesses! And that’s not easy when your mother and father-in-law can visit for a week at a time. A day or two – anyone can handle, but a week – well, that requires a concerted effort. Both Jenny and Nikki make the effort!

Fish and (Chocolate) Chips

Our house is on the market and that means keeping everything looking and smelling like no one lives here. That’s not easy to do because we still live here. We dig in the garden, mow the grass, do the laundry and cook and eat here.

It’s Time to Get Out of Bed!

ElsieBLast week I wrote about the persecution in the Middle East against Christian and other minority religions. Almost immediately a friend texted and told me she felt led to pray and fast. Another friend committed to donate 100% of her August profits from her home business to charities that work in the Middle East.

35 Years and Counting!

wedding photo 1 001On Monday, July 28, Brian and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary. And I’m sure you all agree — we haven’t changed a bit. Well, OK, let’s be honest, there’s hardly anything about us that hasn’t changed!
