When Seasons Change

Who doesn’t love October, it’s the official start to “Pumpkin Spice” season when we taste and see the beginning of fall – and now it’s over! Winter will soon be upon us. How can that be?

October comes and goes, the weather is brisk, and while I know it won’t get terribly cold in Texas, it does signal the beginning of the end of yet another year. And the years are flying by faster and faster.

Making Life Grand

This has been an exceptional month for me! I’ve had the privilege of spending all, or part, of nineteen days with one or more of my grandchildren. There’s only one word to describe how I feel: blessed. Yes. Blessed.

Engaging the Battle

This little guy has the heart and soul of a warrior – he is always ready for battle. If there is no battle to fight, he creates one. He engages fearlessly and never thinks about losing.

He is ready to fight for what is right at a moment’s notice, and clearly, he has the outfit! So what if he’s wearing flip flops. And, who cares if his storm trooper uniform is from a century light years ahead of his gladiator mask. Oh, and the gun… plastic… it doesn’t even shoot nerf bullets. Nevertheless, he’s ready to defend his cause – whatever that cause might be!

Wise Wedding Words

On Friday and Saturday I was privileged to attend the wedding ceremonies of two couples where both the bride and groom each love the Lord more than the they love the person to whom they vowed to spend the rest of their lives as husband and wife.

Celebrating New Life

We are so excited awaiting the arrival of grandbaby number five in just a few months! Is there anything better than becoming a grandparent? I don’t think so.

I will never forget the day we were told that our very first grandbaby was on the way. The immediate love that filled my heart overwhelmed me. A baby! Once again I would cuddle and kiss and love a precious little one; I could almost feel the weight of the baby in my arms even as I waited in anticipation.
