Engaging the Battle

This little guy has the heart and soul of a warrior – he is always ready for battle. If there is no battle to fight, he creates one. He engages fearlessly and never thinks about losing.

He is ready to fight for what is right at a moment’s notice, and clearly, he has the outfit! So what if he’s wearing flip flops. And, who cares if his storm trooper uniform is from a century light years ahead of his gladiator mask. Oh, and the gun… plastic… it doesn’t even shoot nerf bullets. Nevertheless, he’s ready to defend his cause – whatever that cause might be!

When it comes to spiritual things, many of us wish we were as brave as this little guy is. But we aren’t. We are keep reading here

I Disagree…

In just a moment I’m going to say something, and some of you will disagree with me. How will you respond?

As best I can tell these days, there are pretty much three continue here

Alternative Facts

blog247pic1We are living in a new day– a day when alternative facts carry the same weight as real facts. Up is down. Down is up. Light is dark. Dark is light. When I tell people that we are flying to Europe, the first thing some people ask is not, “Are you so excited to see your family!!” it’s, continue here

All-wise

On Sunday, my nephew Zach left for the Marines. Zach is my baby sister’s only son, and as many young men his age are heading off to college, Zach is leaving home to learn how to fight… and win. He is willingly putting himself in harm’s way to protect you and me from dangerous and fanatically wicked people.

While we are so proud of Zach and his desire to be one of the few and the proud, we are also highly aware of the dangerous read more here

Just

post215pic1Watching the news the last few days causes me to wonder if justice is dead. We all want justice to prevail, but can it in the midst of a polarizing political season, deeply opposing gun issues, growing tension over racial differences and escalating civil violence?

Do we really want continue reading here
