Shame and Evil
This whole Harvey Weinstein debacle is bringing up a lot of questions, and while I surely don’t have all of the answers, I believe I know why women, and men, who have suffered sexual abuse wait so long to tell others about it. And I believe I know who is responsible for the culture that seems to think abuse is OK.

Swimsuit Season is Over!
Yes! Swimsuit season is over in central Texas! OK, I know my friends up north will question that, and yes, my friends in Texas will still be swimming in heated pools for weeks to come, but essentially, swimsuit season has ended. And it couldn’t read more here

Piercing Truth
St. Croix. Hurricane Maria. 100+ mph wind. A 2×10 piece of lumber and a palm tree. My neighbor’s daughter took this photo. I can’t stop looking at it.
In a split second, this tree was withstanding the onslaught of a storm and then, without warning it was pierced by a plank of wood. The wood did not shatter the tree. The tree stands. It is split down the middle, and will never be the same; but it still stands.
