A Passion for the Game

It’s October and the Cards are in the playoffs… again. Or should I say… again!! Cardinal baseball in October means late nights, lots of cheering, and the non-stop buzzing of email, twitter, Facebook, and phone notifications, plus the early wake-up to watch the highlight reels on ESPN.

Everyone in my husband’s family is a Cardinal fan; their blood runs Cardinal red. I think it’s genetic; I married into it, my boys inherited it, and my grandsons are proof that it is continue here

Fish and (Chocolate) Chips

Our house is on the market and that means keeping everything looking and smelling like no one lives here. That’s not easy to do because we still live here. We dig in the garden, mow the grass, do the laundry and cook and eat here.

When I was a child, Good Friday was a unique day. About three o’clock in the afternoon, most of the stores and businesses closed and people went to church. The afternoon was a somber one. We’d come home and after dinner we’d color Easter eggs and begin to look forward to Sunday!
