There are three empty houses in our life right now. Well, technically, none of them are empty. We left an empty house in Illinois, but it has since been filled up by its new owners.

Citizenship Counts

Brian and I finally arrived in Texas on Sunday. We aren’t citizens of Texas yet, but we’re also not citizens of Illinois. Since I don’t really belong to a state right now, I’ve been thinking about the many facets of citizenship.

We may be stateless today, but we do have citizenship; our citizenship is in heaven. Just as a person becomes a citizen of a state or nation by right of birth, Brian and I became citizens of heaven when we continue reading here

What To Hold On To?

Memorial Day

Decoration Day

post05202014a2Friday begins Memorial Day weekend. When I was a child the Friday before Memorial Day was always the last day of school; but what was really special about Memorial Day was going to the cemetery to decorate graves.
