Running On Empty!

post126graphic

Empty. Exhausted. Frustrated. Burned out. Worn out. Helpless. Hopeless. Joyless. Passionless. Ready to quit. Except you can’t.

You can’t quit your job. Or your marriage. Or your parenting. Or your ministry. You can’t quit, but you can’t continue when you have nothing left to give.

Maybe if you just dig a little deeper you’ll find the drive, the motivation, the passion that you used to have. Surely it’s there; it’s just a little beyond reach. So you dig, but the hole just gets wider, deeper and find more here

Dirty Laundry!

post123graphic1

Monday is Laundry Day in the Furrow household; the sheets are changed, and the hampers are emptied. With just two of us laundry day is only one day a week and usually only about four loads.

A Griswold Valentine’s Day

It’s almost Valentine’s Day and I wonder how Clark Griswold would celebrate? You know Clark – he’s Chevy Chase’s character in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. He’s the guy who desires to fulfill every tradition perfectly and exceed every expectation to make Christmas more magical than anyone can imagine.

I’m sure Clark would have high hopes for a fantastic Valentine’s Day. In his daydreams it is probably a day filled with candy for his children, flowers for his mother and mother-in-law, a romantic continue here

Buying Lies

post117graphicWhat lie have you purchased lately? None? No one buys a lie, right? Wrong. We buy lies all the time. Every time we buy into something that is not true, we are purchasing a lie. What lie(s) have you purchased…

“You’re hopeless”

“You’ve ruined your life.”

“You’ll never amount to anything.”

“You’ll always be alone.”

“You’ll continue here for truth
