We Are What We Eat

The Sunday School potluck is my nemesis, and this weekend’s social proved it. I totally fell off the wagon. I’m not talking about drugs or alcohol, I’m talking junk food… And way too much of it.

I should have just pressed the brownies right onto my thighs because that’s where they’ll end up; but there’s no satisfaction in that, so I ate them! And the cookies. And the lobster spread. And the cheese potatoes…

Captain America Christians?

The Potter and the Clay

post144graphic1.It doesn’t take much to remember what it was like being a mom of infants and toddlers. There were times when I felt like an empty vase sitting on a shelf; I felt useless, out of sight and out of mind.

For the most part my days were spent in a small apartment with our two sons and my greatest achievement was keeping noses and bottoms clean and dry. All day long I was pulled on, cried on, puked on, spilled on, sat on, jumped on and laid on.
